The BJOA's objective is to critically investigate agro-industrial systems at the global level, with a focus on food, fiber, and energy production and marketing chains, among others, while addressing regional specificities through a systemic, intercultural, and multinational perspective.
The BJOA serves as a platform for international dialogue and the dissemination of interdisciplinary knowledge in the fields of agribusiness and agro-industrial systems. Its objective is to critically examine global food production and marketing chains, considering regional specificities from a systemic, intercultural, and multinational perspective.
The journal addresses a broad audience, including agri-food sector companies, government agencies, financial institutions, multilateral organizations, and universities, all of whom are engaged in the planning and implementation of food policies and practices.
The BJOA promotes the integration of academics, researchers, professionals, and consultants working in Agribusiness, Agricultural Sciences, Economics, Management, Marketing, Food Science, and Nutrition.
Submissions employing experimental, theoretical, computational, or innovative methodological approaches are welcome, provided they demonstrate originality, significant and that foster academic exchange in the field of agribusiness.
All articles are published under a Creative Commons license, ensuring immediate and free access, as well as content reuse, in accordance with the principles of open knowledge.
In addition to its regular issues, BJOA publishes Special Issues (comprising thematic collections) and Supplementary Issues (featuring full articles derived from conference proceedings), thereby continuously expanding its scope of scientific contribution.

Modality 1: Communications (Short articles, Experience reports, Scientific notes, Bibliographic or documentary reviews)
Modality 2: Full Technical Articles (Scientific Research Articles, Meta-Analysis Articles, and Theoretical Articles) - see Submission Guidelines.
Modality 3: Publication of Abstracts and Extended Abstracts in Proceedings of Congresses, Seminars and Events.

The BJOA endeavors to maintain an average period of approximately four months between manuscript submission and article publication.
