The Brazilian Journal of Fabaceae (BJOF) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published every four months in digital format by ELGI Publishing.
The BJOF is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge through the publication of original research articles, systematic reviews, and critical essays that explore the Fabaceae and recognizes the global relevance of this plant group—fundamental to food security, agricultural sustainability, biological nitrogen fixation, and biodiversity—the journal aspires to establish itself as a distinguished platform of academic excellence and interdisciplinary dialogue.
The BJOF welcomes contributions that span genetic, physiological, and ecological aspects, as well as applications in sustainable management, crop improvement, biotechnology, and innovation in agri-food systems.
